How do I book a canal boat holiday on this website?
Use the live calendar search. If we have canal boats available on a particular day, the day will be highlighted in green. Click the button for options on that day. If you find something you like, simply click the 'Pay now' button and fill out the booking form. You will then be forwarded to the secure payment site. When you complete your payment, your confirmation comes to you by email. The email will contain the details of your booking and full directions to the marina. Take it with you to the marina as proof of booking. Enjoy your holiday!

Where are your canal boat hire locations?

What are the canal boats like?
We have many different canal boat layouts. Please view our canal boat classes for further information.

I have never done canal boating before, is it easy, and do you give any training?
Operating a canal boat is as easy as 123. The canal boats only go at walking pace and have 1 forward and 1 reverse gear. We give full tuition on canal boat handling and lock management - all include in the price you pay! The canals are not very deep, but if you want one, life jackets are provided upon request.

Do I need a license to operate the canal boat ?
No you will not need a license and you will be given all the training you need to get started.

Where can with stop with the canal boat?
You can moor anywhere along the canal where it is safe to do so and there are no signs prohibiting this ie : permanent mooring/private moorings. It is advised to moor adjacent to the towpath for easy access. Mooring pegs are provided on the boat if there are no tie off points. You also have the option of mooring in a marina if they offer vistor moorings. There may be a small charge for this.

Is there car parking?
With our canal boating holidays, free car parking is available at all our holiday locations.
